Category: Product Reviews

Two 30MP Ghost in the Shell preorders, one Q2 2027 ETA. Here are clear answers on pricing, ordering separately, and which figure to pick.

Quick answer

If you want the human lead, preorder the 30MP Motoko Kusanagi figure; if you want the spider-tank companion, preorder the 30MP Fuchikoma. Both are listed with an estimated arrival of Q2 2027, so choose based on which character you want on your shelf, not on release timing.

Why these two preorders are easy to mix up

Both items sit in the same Bandai preorder category, share the same Q2 2027 estimate, and come from The Ghost in the Shell. The difference is the subject: Motoko Kusanagi is the central character, while Fuchikoma is the multi-legged tank that supports her. If you are building a display around the series, they are complementary rather than interchangeable.

The trade-off: price gap vs display presence

The Motoko Kusanagi figure is listed at USD 35.86 against a comparison price of USD 47.81, while the Fuchikoma is USD 16.77 against USD 27.95. That price gap is real, but it mostly reflects the size and complexity of the subject. A single character figure often anchors a display, while a smaller companion piece adds context. Neither listing supplies scale or material details, so treat those as unknowns until Bandai publishes them.

What the Q2 2027 estimate does and does not promise

The estimate is a window, not a guarantee. It tells you roughly when to expect the item, but production schedules can shift. The bigger practical issue is that preorder items are limited and first come, first served, so waiting to decide can mean missing the allocation entirely.

Ghost in the Shell 30MP preorder questions, answered

Should I order Motoko and Fuchikoma together?: No. The store's preorder terms say orders with preorder items will not ship until all items arrive, and they ask you to order preorders separately and individually. Place two separate orders so one delay does not hold up the other. Check your cart for mixed in-stock and preorder items before checkout.
Will these ship before Q2 2027?: The listing gives Q2 2027 as an estimate, not a confirmed date. Treat any earlier arrival as a bonus rather than a plan.
Are these available in-store?: The preorder notes say the item might be preorder-only and may not be available for purchase in-store. If you want to guarantee one, preorder online rather than waiting to buy off the shelf.
Will shipping cost extra?: The listing warns that large items may require an additional shipping fee for orders that require shipping. Budget for that possibility, especially if you combine items in one shipment.
Which one should I pick if I only want one?: Pick Motoko Kusanagi if you want a character-focused display piece. Pick Fuchikoma if you prefer a mechanical subject or want a lower-cost entry into the 30MP line.
