Tamiya Smalto X-27 ROSSO TRASPARENTE
Finally got that candy-apple depth I was chasing for my car body. The enamel lays down smooth and dries with a gloss you can see your reflection in, no polishing needed. Two thin coats over chrome gave me exactly the rich, jewel-like red I wanted.
Brushed this over a silver base coat for a candy effect and the transparency is spot on—it flows out smooth with no brush marks and the gloss stays even after drying. The little jar goes a long way for small parts, so it’s worth the price.
Airbrushing this over chrome gave the canopy a deep candy-red depth I couldn’t get with acrylics. The enamel levels beautifully and dries to a glossy, glass-like finish that’s perfect for taillights on my car kit.
