X-12 Gold Leaf (Enamel) 80012

Brushed this enamel over a tiny brass picture frame and it leveled out smooth with almost no stroke marks. Takes a good 24 hours to fully cure, but the finish is worth the wait.

The gold leaf shade is warmer than the standard metallic gold, which works nicely on miniature trim. Dries slower than acrylics, so I had to wait a day between coats, but the finish is worth it.

The gold flakes settle nicely if you stir it longer than you think you need to, and it brushes on smooth over a black base coat. Only gripe is the tiny jar for the price, but a little goes a long way on small details.
