AK10033 Watercolor Pencil Aluminum

The 17cm length is perfect for getting a solid grip while shading tight spots on tank hulls, and the pigments lay down smoothly without smearing my base coat. I’ve already finished three kits with these and the water activation is spot-on for quick washes.

I’ve been using these for panel line accents and the 17cm length gives way more mileage than the usual stubby pencils. The semi-grease core lays down smoothly over primer without skipping, and they react well to a damp brush for softer washes.

The semi-grease formulation really grabs onto plastic and bare metal without skipping, and the water-based pigments lift off cleanly when I wet a brush over them. Washed over a tank hull, the color settles into a soft, faded grime that looks far more convincing than the straight paint I'd been using
