The light rust shade hits that perfect dusty orange-brown for exhaust pipes and old hinges. I mixed a tiny squeeze from the tube with a few drops of water and it brushed on smooth without streaking. Being water-based means no fumes in my hobby room, which my wife appreciates.
Thinned this down with plain tap water and it brushed on beautifully over my tank model's exhaust, no clogging at all. The light rust shade is spot on for streaking and dries without that harsh solvent smell.
The light rust shade is perfect for streaking on exhausts and undercarriage panels. Being water-based, I can thin it right on the palette with a wet brush and it still dries matte without eating the base coat. The tube goes a long way too.
